What advice would you give to women transitioning into a leadership role?

My advice for women who are transitioning into a leadership role is to get the mentorship and sponsorship you need to be successful. One of the biggest mistakes that women make in the workplace is going at it alone. It is assuming that your own work ethic and performance is what is going to get you ahead. It is true that at the beginning of your career it is really important, but in order for you to really thrive, you're going to have to leverage a village of support. Making sure you have people who are throwing themselves on the table in support for you in that closed door meetings are giving you the clarity and guidance to be successful.
