3 Degrees of Separation
One thing that’s incredibly important for sales people to realize is that the world is getting smaller and smaller because of social media. We are no longer six degrees apart we are now 3 degrees apart so everything that you’re doing on social media has much more amplification. We have larger networks; we have more contacts in our Rolodex.
How you can use social media to your advantage is make sure that you are tweeting and posting about the things that you care about, the things that you’re selling. I also really encourage people to think about blogging and becoming an expert by blogging for publications that are relevant to your business and make sure that you are constantly monitoring what your competition is doing in the social media space.
